This is full form of INDI alliance -Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). This is a coalition of opposition political parties in India and it formed to counter the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2024 general elections.after election they are in the biggest opponent Alliance But at this time some parties in the alliance do not agree with the actions of the Congress.
The reason why Indi alliance is in the news
Yesterday, Congress treasurer Ajay Makan called the allegations of corruption against the former Chief Minister of Aam Aadmi Party as opportunistic, due to which Aam Aadmi Party Chief Minister Atishi said to the Congress that Immediate action should be taken against Makan CM Atishi has given 24 hours ultimatum to Congress that if action is not taken against Makan, then she will inform other parties to expel Congress from the Indi Alliance
A few days ago also there was a discussion that the leadership of the alliance should be given to TMC leader Mamta Banerjee Many parties do not agree with the policy adopted by Congress, therefore a consensus can be reached to exclude Congress from the alliance.
INDI alliance parties(members) and formation
The idea of forming an organization of many parties including small and big parties came up to oust the ruling party from power during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.Some of the parties are as follows-
Congress : It is the second largest national party in the country which has been in government continuously for many decades
Trinamool Congress (TMC) : the leader of this party is current CM of west bengal Mamta Banerjee
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP): arvind kejriwal is leading role of this party and cuurent Delhi cm atishi who is belonging to this party
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) : this party is active in tamilnadu and current CM of tamil nadu Mk stalin who is belonging to this party
Former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party is also included in the alliance and others parties in this alliance
Formation:
The alliance was officially announced in 2023 during opposition meetings held in Patna, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
