G20 2024 is hosted by the country Brazil.Its conference was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is the first time it is hosted by Brazil. Last year India hosted the G20 in 2023
What is G20?
G20 is a group of 19 countries and two unions which discusses the world economy, peace, trade, power, environment etc.

This summit was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in which many important decisions were taken. In main summit day, Heads of all countries and unions were present in this summit along with their foreign ministers.( Finance minister and bank adhyaksh, In this summit, there were discussions on environment, crime, terrorism, economy, new technology etc. Along with this, there was also a discussion on how to create peace in the world.
In this summit, Brazil paid special attention to poverty and hunger and proposed among the countries that all countries should help to eradicate poverty and hunger So Brazil created an alliance called the Global Alliance Against Poverty and Hunger.

This alliance will work for the poor and people suffering from hunger. Member countries will provide financial help in this so that problems like nutritional materials, health facilities, housing etc. can be easily solve.

The G20 is hosted by one of its members; each year the summit is hosted by a different country.The decision of which country will host the next summit is taken unanimously and it happens on a rotational basis.
